होयशलेश्वर मंदिर , हैलेबिडु, ( कर्नाटक ) Hoysaleshwara Temple @ Halebidu, Karnataka : Hoysaleshwara Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to lord Shiva. It is a twin-temple known as Hoysaleswara and Santaleswara but no worship inside the temple as shivaling was destroyed by Mughals and left abandoned for many years. It is situated in a small city called Halebidu which was originally called Dorasamudra. It is in Hasan district, Karnataka, India. Earlier days it was the capital city of Hoysala Empire. This temple was commissioned by King Vishnuvardhana in 12th century which took around 100 years to complete. Temple is made with black stone and carving on the stone is super.
