Shree Ghrineshwar Jyotirlinga: 

Shree Ghrineshwar Jyotirlinga temple is one among 12 Jyotirlinga in India. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It has references in Shiva Puran. It is one of the very important pilgrimages for Hindus. 

This temple is located in Ellora under Aurangabad district in Maharashtra. Between the 13th to 18th centuries, the temple was destroyed by the Mughals multiple times and it was rebuilt. The current structure was built in the 18th Century by Ahilyabai Holkar. 

Its structure is South Indian style made of red marbles. It is a very important tourist place in Maharashtra and in India.

 

Shree Ghrineshwar Jyotirlinga Temple Timing:  

5:30 am to 11:00 pm every day; 

3:00 am to 11:00 pm during the month of Shravan (August-September)

Best time to visit: All time. During the summer, it's very hot.

 

Entry Fees:  No entry fee for general darshan. You have to pay if you want to perform special rituals like Rudhrabhiskeha, Abhisheka, or some other rituals. Temple authorities have fixed charges for different rituals which are really good and you can pay to the Purohit as per your wish.

By Rail: The main railway station is in Aurangabad (Maharashtra) which is 31 km from Ghrineshwar Jyotirlinga temple. It is well connected with other Indian cities. You can catch buses or private taxis from Aurangabad to reach here.

Buses: The nearest main bus stand is in Aurangabad. You can find multiple buses from different places like Mumbai, Pune, Shirdi, Nashik, etc. 

Private Taxis/ Autos: As Ghrineshwar Jyotirlinga temple is a very famous tourist destination, you will find lots of private taxis at very reasonable rates.
