त्रयंबकेश्वर ज्योर्तिलिंग - Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga Temple: Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga Temple is one of 12 Jyotirlinga in India. It is an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It has references in Shiva Puran. The Linga has three cuts in it and they are considered as Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh (Shiva). It is also believed that River Godavari flows just below the linga touching the bottom part of it.
This temple is located in Trimbak in Nashik District in Maharashtra. The current temple was built by Nana Saheb Baji Rao Peshwa. The origin of the Godavari river is just a few kilometers from the temple.
The temple is located between three hills called Brahmagiri, Nilagiri, and Kalagiri. It is one of the very important pilgrimages for Hindus and one of the best tourist destinations near Nashik in Maharashtra.
