Shree Mangesh Temple:

Shree Mangesh Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Bhagavan Manguesh, an incarnation of Shiva. Lord Manguesh is worshiped here as Shiva Linga. It is located at Mangeshi Village in Priol, Ponda taluk in GOA (INDIA). This is one of the biggest temples in GOA which is visited by thousands of devotees every day. 

This temple was shifted from its original site at Kushasthali to Mangeshi village when the Portuguese started Christian conversion from 1543 to 1560. As this area was ruled by a Hindu king. The people involved in shifting the temple were the Saraswat of Kaundinya Gotra and Vasta Gotra.

This village (Mangeshi) has given many great personalities including our Lata Mangeshkar, Aasha Bhosle, etc. 

This is one of the very important tourist destinations in GOA. Please visit the place and get the blessing.

Shree Mangesh Temple visiting Timing:  06:30 AM to 11:00 AM & 03:00 PM to 06:00 PM. 

Best time to visit Shree Mangesh Temple: All-time. During summer it is a bit hot. 

Entry Fees:  No for general darshan. You have to pay only if you want to perform some special rituals.
