Mahavir Mandir Patna:

Mahavir Mandir is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman / Anjaneya / Mahavir. It is situated in the middle of the city and just 100 m from Patna railway station. This temple was established in 1730 but it was not a big temple. The old structure was demolished and the existing structure was built In 1987 using white Marble. 

This temple if 2 floors, the ground floor is the Hanuman idol and the first floor is Ram Darbar, Durga, Shiva, etc. There is a dedicated place for chanting Hanuman Chalisa there.

This is one of the major attractions in Patna and thousands of visitors visit there every day. On Saturday and Tuesday, you will find more devotees. 

Inside the temple campus, you will find a book store where you can purchase spiritual books, a prasad counter called Naivedyam. Outside the temple, you will find many shops from where you can purchase flowers, sweets, and many more.

This is worth visiting place in Patna. Everyone who visits Patna wants to be there at least for few hours. Please visit the place and feel the spirituality.

Best time to visit: All time. During the summer it's a little hot.

Entry Fees:  There is no entry fee for general darshan. If you want to perform special rituals, you need to pay the charges accordingly.

Parking Places: As the temple is situated in the middle of the city and close to the railway station, it is very difficult to find parking. You can try parking your vehicle inside the railway campus but it's completely on your luck. I suggest using a local auto or taxi to reach the temple.

Indian Rail: The nearest railway station is Patna Jn which is 100 m from the temple. This railway station is on the route between Kolkatta to Delhi and lots of trains are available from different Indian cities. 

 

Buses: The nearest bus station is in Patna which is 5 km from the temple. Regular buses are available from different cities like Muzaffarpur, Ranchi, Varanashi, Kolkatta, etc.
