Shree Alop Shankari Devi Temple is one of the Shakti Peeth (Ashtadasa Shakti Peeth) in India. This temple is not a grand or big temple in size but very powerful as per belief. 

Word Alopi means the disappearance. It is believed that when Lord Shiva was carrying Maa Sati's dead body, Lord Vishnu started cutting the body from his chakra and where ever body parts or objects related to maa Sati fallen, the place is considered as Shakti Peeth. At this place, the last body part was fallen and maa Sati's body was disappeared from Lord Shiva's hands, and that's the reason it is called Alop Shankari Devi temple.

It is situated close to the Sangam at Prayagraj in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. This temple is different from others as there is no statute of any deity in this temple, rather, there is a wooden carriage or 'Doli' which is worshipped.
