Basillica of Bom Jesus @ Goa (India):

The Basilica of Bom Jesus (also known as Borea Jezuchi Bajilika in the local language "Konkani" ) is a Roman Catholic basilica located in old Goa (India). It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the seven wonders of Portuguese structure in the world.

The mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier are kept inside the church. He had miraculous powers of healing. Every ten years his body is available for public viewing. It is believed that his body is as fresh as the day it was buried. The last public view was in 2014.

Construction of the Church started in 1594 and completed in 1605.  Old Goa was the former capital of Portuguese India.  It is one of the very famous tourist destinations in Goa.

09:00 AM to 06:30 PM (Monday to Saturday)

10:30 AM to 06:30 PM (Sunday)

Best time to visit: All-time. During summer it is a bit hot.
