Cauvery river ghat:
Holy river Cauvery is one of the seven holy rivers mentioned in our Shastras and Purans. A Beautiful sandy place where you can take bath. You will find changing rooms there but they are not maintained.
There are many temples nearby and people take bath here before going to the temple. There is a dedicated place to perform Shradh-related rituals and many people visit there during Pitripaksha.
Local people have arranged boating facility which you can use by paying some amounts as their livelihood is depending on that.
You will find many monkeys there and be careful especially if you are carrying food items with you.
It is believed that in ancient times there were 30 temples and other structures in 1000 acres of land but due to Shap (Curse), most of the temples and structures were buried in the sand. You can still find sands around the temples.
Talkadu is a very famous tourist destination in Karnataka and you will see many places around it. I am sure you will love being in Talkadu.
VisitingTiming: Local people visit there all the time but for tourists, they close it during the evening as local police will be guarding the area.
Best time to visit: All-time but during rainy season water will be more in river and surrounding will be lavish green.
