Sri Keerti Narayana Temple:
Sri Keerti Narayana Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Lord Vishnu is in a Standing position and the black color statute is 12-foot height. It is an ancient temple that is around 1200 years old and built by the Chola dynasty. It is located in a village called Talakadu in Mysore districts Karnataka (India).
Temple is constructed in a big area surrounded by trees. The height of the temple is not big but its structure is huge with lots of carvings on the stone.
Holy river Cauvery is very close to the temple. People take a dip in the river before entering the temple.
It is believed that in ancient times there were 30 temples and other structures in 1000 acres of land but due to Shap (Curse), most of the temples and structures were buried in the sand. You can still find sands around the temples.
There is no dress code for devotees but the love in Indian dress. Photography inside the temple is not allowed. You will find many guides and most of them speak Kanada.
